Double helix

All information is transmitted using a code, a set of elements combined according to certain rules.

This article is encoded by 26 different letters. The computer transmits information on the basis of 0 and 1. All information necessary to make a living being (whether bacterium, plant or animal) is encoded in 4 different bases (A, G, C and T) that make up the DNA.

This molecule is found in the nucleus of all cells (and other organelle called mitochondria). And today, 59 years ago, Francis Crick and James Watson published their 3D structure, a double helix, thanks to contributions from Rosalin Franklin, among others.
