The Advanced Research Projects Agency Network was one of the world’s first working packet switching networks. In fact, was the antecessor of what was to become the global Internet.
It was initially funded by the Advanced Research Projects Agency within the U.S. Department of Defense for use by US universities.
A day like this 44 years ago, the first link between Standford and UCLA universities was established. On December 5 all first network was ready implemented.
Because of that effort and deployment of resources, we can now sit in front a computer screen and read blogs like this, whatever our site is.
